We try our best to make sure that patterns are correct and complete, but sometimes things get past us. Please check here for known corrections to be made to various patterns.
And, if you find something that needs to be fixed in one of our patterns, please let us know. Thank you!
On the first printing of Applique to Go, two items were left off the supply list on the back cover. Please note that you will also need two zippers (9" or longer) and 1 yard of 1" nylon or cotton strapping to make the Thread Case.
On patterns printed before April, 2012, four small (but important!) words are missing from the instructions for making the sky/meadow section.
Please change the first step in section A on page 2 to read as follows:
With right sides up, layer a white 10½ x 37" strip on top of a red 10½ x 37" strip, matching edges.
On some patterns made in April, 2010, page 7 was inadvertently omitted. If you did not get page 7, please contact us and we'll send you that page.
On the first printing of Baby Travel Accessories (printed before 5/2/14), there was an error in the supply list on the back cover. You will actually need 29" x 29" of Soft and Stable NOT 22" x 42" as shown.
On the first printing of Backseat Babysitter (printed before 10/11/16), there is a small error on page 9. The drawing on figure 9 shows the various straps extending beyond the organizer. The stroller straps (in the middle) show one with the hook-and-loop fastener up and the other with the hook-and-loop down. Both stroller straps should look like the strap on the left. The hook-and-loop fastener will be DOWN on both straps.
On the first printing of Bowl Me Over! (printed before 01/14/16), there was an error on page 8. The label for the Bias Binding cut from the Contrasting Fabric should read 18½" x 18½" (not 16½" x 16½") The Cutting Instructions on page 2 are correct.
The larger square enables you to cut 2½" binding strips rather than 2¼" binding strips.
If you have already cut a 16½" square and have no more fabric to cut another bias strip, cut one 2" bias strip and four 2¼" strips (rather than four 2½" strips as directed in the pattern). It will be a bit more of a challenge to bind the edges, but is certainly doable.
On patterns printed before June 3, 2013, there are two small errors:
On page 3, step 6(b) should read:
b. Bind Side Pockets B and C.
Following the General Binding Instructions on page 1, bind the top 9” edges of Pockets B and C using two of the 2” x 9” pieces of binding. Set pockets aside.
On page 6, step 2(d) should read:
d. Attach Inner Pocket A.
Flip bag over so lining side is up. With right sides up, position Inner Pocket A in place aligning all raw edges. Trim the top of the pocket if it extends beyond the Carry On Bag Back.)
Stitch in place all around bag, being careful to move the slider on the zipper inside before stitching across the zipper tape. Trim the zipper tape even with the edges of the bag.
On patterns printed before August, 2012, there are three errors in the cutting instructions at the top of page 2.
The measurements shown for the Flap and flap lining should be two, 3" x 3¾" and the measurements for the Outer Pocket should be 5" x 10".
The measurements shown for the Bias Binding should be 13" x 13" though it would not hurt to cut 14" x 14" as your seams will be further apart and you'll have a little more to play with.
Note that the measurements for these pieces shown in the Suggested Cutting Layout AND in the pattern are correct.
On some Chinese New Year patterns printed before April 14, 2011, the seam lines on the blocks on page 10 did not show up. Please be sure to add a 1/4" seam allowance when cutting out the paper piecing pattern.
On Cosmetics Clutches patterns printed before November 7, 2013, there is an error in the cutting directions for the bias binding. Please make these corrections:
page 2: Contrasting fabric
For the medium sized clutch, cut a 15" x 15" square of fabric rather than a 14" x 14" square of fabric.
page 3, Step 8:
a. Following the Making Bias Binding instructions on page 1, make 2½” bias strips using the squares of fabric. TIP: If you intend to bind all three bags with the same fabric, one 24” square will make enough binding for all three clutches.
On Criss Cross patterns printed before October 8, 2016, there is an error in the cutting instructions on page 2. In the first column, the Fabric B (Background) instructions under the first section (Blocks 1, 2a, 2b, etc.) should read as follows:
Fabric B (Background)
From these strips, cut the following:
On our first printing of this pattern, there is an error on the back cover. The items in the supply list are correct. The column that says "SMALL" is for the Bag. The column that says "LARGE" is for the changing pad. Our apologies for the confusion!
On Executive Carryalls patterns printed before April 8, 2016, there is an error in the cutting directions for the Carrying Strap Tabs. Please make these corrections:
page 2: From the main fabric cut
Carrying Strap Tab — two 2¾” (NOT 2½" x 23”
NOTE: Please change the size on the label for those pieces on page 8 as well.
On patterns printed before 4/14/11, please make this correction:
From Blue Ombre Gelato Fabric Strips, cut the following pieces:
From D-Dark fabric
Cut two 4½" x 41" strips and two 4½" x 49" strips
(NOT two 2" x 36½" strips and two 2" x 39½" strips)
On patterns printed before 7/19/10, please make this correction:
C. Cut pieces needed for Block B (Crabs): From the two blue background fabrics (light blue and medium-light blue), cut the following pieces:
Cut forty (twenty from each fabric) 3” x 3” squares. These will be used for pieces A1, A2, A5, B1, and B4.
Cut eight (four from each fabric) 3” x 5½” rectangles. These will be used for piece C4.
Cut eight (four from each fabric) 3” x 7½” rectangles from each fabric. These will be used for piece C5.
Cut sixteen (eight from each fabric) 3” x 4” rectangles. These will be used for pieces A7 and B6.
Cut eight (four from each fabric) 4” squares Cut each square in half diagonally to yield eight triangles of each color. These will be used for pieces C2 and C3.
On patterns printed before August 28, 2013, there is an error in the cutting instructions and fabric requirements for the red fabric.
On page 2, the cutting instructions for the red fabric used in the blocks omitted the pieces needed for Block 1 for Block A. You will also need these pieces:
Block 1 for Block A : Cut 200 pieces, 2½" x 2½"
Block 1 for Block A: Cut 336 pieces, 2½" x 2½"
Consequently, the fabric requirements on the back cover are incorrect as well. For the red fabric, you will actually need at least 5 fat quarters for the twin size and 8 fat quarters for the queen size for this quilt. Our apologies for any inconvenience this error caused.
On Going Downton patterns printed before 061714, please fix this small error:
page 2, step B-1-c:
Please disregard the reference to 47". The strip is actually 83/85" long.
On the first printing of Going Places Garment Bag (printed before 10/13/16), there is a small error on page 5. Step G-1 at the top of page 5 should refer to Step F-1 (not D-1).
On Hold Everything patterns printed before 12/4/13, please make this correction:
page 2. A. Quilt and cut the fabrics for the bag.
After the fabric is quilted, it may shrink somewhat, making it difficult to cut the pieces as directed. If you do not have a full 42" of length, you may cut the four inner pockets at 8" x 6" rather than 8" x 6½".
On some Hoot 'n' Annie patterns printed before February 28, 2011, some of the seam lines did not show up. Please click here for more information.
Please check page 4 of your pattern. The 4th step in section #5 should read as follows:
Attach the STUD (not socket) side of a snap fastener to the outside of the pocket 1” in from the left side and 2½” down from the top.
On patterns dated before 060915 (see date in lower right bottom corner), there is an error on page 6, step 12.
The zipper should be attached to the 7" x 6.5" pocket NOT the 7" x 8.5" pocket. After the zipper is attached to the smaller 7" x 6.5" pocket, the border strip will be sewn to the top of the zipper. Then that pocket will be attached to the larger 7" x 8.5" pocket.
On the first printing of MiPad Case, one item was left off the supply list on the back cover. Please note that you will also need one 1" strap adjuster for the adjustable strap on the case.
Also, on page 2 in Step C, Prepare the case components, the last line in column one should read:
Version 1 only: Position the 5½" x 12½" (not 5½" x 12") texturized strip right side up between the marked lines.
On Netbook Computer Carriers patterns printed before 2/12/13, there is one small error in the directions.
On page 5, in the step entitled "Make the Zipper/Side Strip", you will position the zipper on a 2" x 17" strip (not 1" x 17"). The cutting instructions on page 4 are correct.
On Out to Lunch patterns dated before 091914, there are some minor errors:
page 1, B. MARK
Step B-2: Please mark the horizontal line on the lining side of the case 1¼" down from the top rather than 1" down.
page 3, C. PREPARE THE COMPONENTS OF THE BAG
Step C-3-b: The mesh pocket is 5½" x 11½" (not 5" x 11½").
page 4, D. ASSEMBLE THE BAG
Step D-2: Position the bound edge of the mesh pocket along the line marked 1¼" down from the top (not 1" down).\
On Out to Lunch patterns dated before 071816, please make this correction:
page 3, C. PREPARE THE COMPONENTS OF THE BAG
Step C-4-c-ii: The center of the strip is actually at 11-1/8" (not 11-3/4"). Please mark the line at 11-1/8".
On Picnic in the Park patterns dated before 050715, there is one minor error:
page 8, Suggested Cutting Layout for Contrasting Fabrics
The Pocket D Binding should be cut at 2" x 36½" (not 2" x 34"). The cutting instructions for this piece on page 2 and the label on page 7 are correct.
On Tech Tote patterns printed before 5/28/13, there is one small error in the directions.
Step C(1) on page 2 should read: "Make the zipper pull(s) by folding the 1” x 12” (not 1" x 10" as written) pieces of fabric in quarters to make pieces ¼” x 12”."
Note that if you are using a single-slide zipper you will need only one zipper pull. If using a double-slide zipper, you will need two pulls.
On patterns printed before 5/1/10, please make the following corrections:
From texturized fabric, cut a piece 10½" x 14" (not 12" x 15") for the outside of purse and 5" x 9" (not 6" x 10") for the pockets. Cut the same size pieces from the lining fabric.
B. Measure and mark.
Mark the center of the purse. Draw a horizontal line from side to side, 7" from the top, marking the center of your purse.
On patterns printed before 9/13/13, please note that there is an error on the template for the Tea Cozy on page 5. The lines drawn on the template which allow you to align the template with the pieced border are approximately ½" too low. Just disregard those lines and align the straight bottom of the template with the straight bottom of the fabric.
Also, please make these corrections:
Page 2, Mark Soft and Stable for tea cozy front:
2. Mark a vertical line 1" (not 3/4") in from the left side between the two previously marked lines.
Page 3, Teacup Coasters:
2. Layer pieces (Soft and Stable, fabric square face up, fabric square face down) and pin to hold layers together.
On patterns printed before 7/14/12, please make the following corrections:
5. Attach the outer pockets.
Pockets should be aligned with the B lines, not the D lines as indicated. (There are no D lines!)
On patterns printed before 01/14/13, please make the following corrections:
Page 2: Section 2. Measure and Mark.
In the chart on the right (in the middle of the page), the text for C should read "Cut depth of top border less ½". The text for E should read "Cut depth of top border less ¾". The example at the bottom uses those measurements, but somehow in printing part of the text disappeared in the chart.
On patterns printed before 8/5/13, please make the following corrections:
Step 4. Make the Carrying Strap.
Please ignore the second instruction a. The second instruction b in step 4 should be labeled c instead of b.
The drawing on the left for the Suggested Cutting Layout for the coordinating fabric should show 2¾" x 20" and 2¾" x 42" for the carrying strap pieces. The text in the columns is correct.
On patterns printed before 12/8/13, please make the following corrections:
The measurements shown in the last row of the column "From Quilted Fabric" are incorrect. They should read:
Carrying Strap Pad — cut two 2½” x 8½” and one 2½” x 6½”
The directions on page 2 for cutting the Carrying Strap Pad are correct for these pieces.
On patterns printed before 4/6/12, please make the following corrections:
Page 1: Section B. Assemble Outside Pillow.
In the first step you are instructed to sew the pillow back pieces together with a 5/8" seam. Use a basting stitch for this seam as you will remove the stitches when you install the zipper.
11x17" Pillow Pattern: Change the label on the vertical line drawn to Line B/C (not Line A/B) to correspond with the directions for Pattern B and Pattern C.
On patterns printed before 8/6/13, there were several errors in the pattern for the Border Block. This also affected the cutting instructions in the Shop Guide.
If you purchased a Vintage Remembrance Block of the Month pattern before August 15, 2013, please contact us for replacement. Thank you.
On patterns printed before 7/17/12, please make the following corrections:
Supply list on back cover:
You will only need 3/4 yard of fabric to bind the 72" x 72" throw, not 3-3/4 yards as shown.
NOTE: If you purchased a Wild Game Chase pattern before May, 2012, please contact us for replacement. The quilt shown on the cover had an extra row of sashing that was not included in the pattern instructions. The pattern has been redone so that the instructions match the picture. We apologize for any inconvenience.
On patterns printed before 6/4/13, please make the following correction:
Making Bias Binding.
Bias strips should be cut 2¼" NOT 2". Cutting instructions on page 2 are correct.
On patterns printed before 7/19/10, please make the following corrections:
Assemble the Yoga Bag
Carrying Strap Pad — cut two, 2½" x 8½", and one 2½" x 6½". (Picture is correct.)
Zippered pockets — Cut two (not three) 5" x 9½" pockets. (Picture is correct.)
