Greetings! It's almost time for the International Quilt Festival. Held in Long Beach, California, the show begins this Thursday, July 28, and runs through Sunday, July 31. EXTRA! EXTRA! READ ALL ABOUT US!
	I was pleased to be featured on blogs and in newsletters of several prominent pattern designers this past month. Things got started with a bang with my guest blog post and Soft and Stable Giveaway at Joan Hawley's Lazy Girl Designs' blog. Thank you so much to everyone who commented on the blog post. I enjoyed reading each and every comment — 503 at last count!

	The next week, Kathy Southern of Studio Kat Designs published a Meet and Greet interview with yours truly on her blog. I have long been an admirer of Kat's beautiful designs and enjoyed meeting her at the show in Cincinnati this spring.
I'm excited that Kat is enjoying using Soft and Stable and will be featuring it in her new pattern to be announced at Fall Market in Houston. Congratulations to Connie, the lucky winner of the Prissy Purses pattern and a package of white Soft and Stable, and to BarbaraG, who won a Necessories pattern and package of black Soft and Stable.
	Finally, Margaret Travis of Eazy Peazy Quilts, published an interview with me in her Eazy Peazy Quilt Shop Newsletter. Margaret has written several patterns using Soft and Stable and has been a great supporter of Soft and Stable since the beginning. Her newest pattern, Park It Pad, provides protection for furniture and uses a moisture resistant layer of Soft and Stable.
Margaret recently participated in a Christmas in July program at a store in Florida. She wrote: "We sold out of her stack of Soft and Stable (owner thought she had more than enough) within several hours. The ladies were so receptive and immediately recognized that they wanted it. You made me look like a rock star!" You ARE a rock star, Margaret! 	I'm a little late in getting to it, but I've finally set up a facebook page. . . now I just have to learn how to use it! I can see that it will make it much easier to keep in touch with all of you, so I hope that you will "Like Us" and become a fan.

This three-day weekend event includes guest speakers, classes, product demos, vendor booths, new products and many reduced price specials. It is a great resource for retail shop owners. I'm pleased to have been invited to demonstrate and teach at this year's Trends show. I will be presenting several "Make and Take" mini classes for shop owners featuring ByAnnie's Soft and Stable and my Necessories pattern. UPCOMING CLASSES Crazy for Bags!
