A winner in the Moda/Kansas City Star Patterns of History Contest!
This quilt reminds me of square dancing with its swirling skirts and intricate footwork. The pink blocks that form the chain across the quilt represent the measured steps taken in the dance. They fade into the background of the energy of the dancers but form a framework to keep everything in line. I can just hear the caller saying, "Swing your partner. Do si do."
