This classy shoulder bag features a stylish assymetrical front flap closure, perfect for showcasing a unique fabric.

Add interest by using fabric texturized with Texture Magic™ from Superior Threads.

A layer of wool batting placed between the fabric and Texture Magic™ before stitching adds even more dimension to the texturized flap.


Serenity Shoulder Bag

Wooden or metal rings accent the comfortable padded strap.

Serenity has large inside and outside slip pockets and a roomy interior.
The bag finishes at about 12"W x 10½"H x 4"D.

One half-yard package of Texture Magic™ will texturize enough fabric for three Serenity Shoulder Bags.

Headliner foam works great inside the bag as it provides great stability with little extra weight. It also eliminates the need to quilt the fabric to the "batting", resulting in a very smooth finish to the bag.

This focuses even more attention on the texturized fabric on the flap. You'll need 18" x 54" of headliner foam for this project, so order ½ yard.

If desired, you may skip the texturizing step and make the shoulder bag with plain or quilted fabrics.
