Machingers™
Machingers™ are light-weight, form-fitting gloves with a soft, flexible fingertip grip. This gives full control with less resistance and drag on fabric.
I often say that these gloves and
water soluble thread
turned me into a machine quilter. The
water soluble thread
stabilizes my entire quilt, allowing me to remove all the pins and concentrate on any small area at a time. The Machingers™ gloves allow me to relax and easily grip the quilt. This reduces fatique and stress. I can now say that I truly enjoy the machine quilting process.
I always recommend these gloves when I am teaching machine quilting classes. It's fun to see students give my pair a try and see their amazement at the difference the Machingers™ make. You're going to want a pair, too!
I love wearing my Machingers™ gloves when I am texturizing fabric using
Texture Magic
. Because the Texture Magic is very slippery, the added grip that the gloves provide helps me control the fabric more easily, so I can really relax and enjoy the process.
Here's what sets these gloves apart from the rest:
- Machingers™ were specifically designed by a quilter for machine quilters.
- They are lightweight and form-fitting so you can keep the gloves on to pull up bobbin thread, thread needle, clip threads, adjust fabrics, and add or remove pins.
- Fully coated fingertips provide excellent grip with less resistance and drag on fabric.
- Because both sides of the fingertips are coated, the gloves are completely reversible, giving double the wear.
- There is no coating on the palm which allows skin to breathe in cool comfort. (I can wear these even when quilting in the hot summers of the desert southwest!)
- Made of nylon knit in the style of a true support glove, Machingers™ are comfortable enough to wear for hours.
- Because they're nylon, threads don't stick.
- Their seamless design gives freedom to use fingertips or full hand surface for quilting.
