Experience the fun of creating texture on fabric using Superior Threads' Texture Magic.
It really is as easy as 1 - 2 - 3!
1. Mark grid or other design* on the Texture Magic.
*Or skip marking and just stiching free-flowing lines.
For more puffiness, include a layer of batting your fabric sandwich.
Pin to the wrong side of your fabric.
2. Stitch through both layers along marked lines.
Note: The closer the stitching, the more texture you get. A more puffy effect is achieved by stitching further apart.
Try different stitch patterns for different effects.
3. With the Texture Magic side up, thoroughly steam the fabric unit.
IMPORTANT:
If using an iron, DO NOT let the sole plate touch the Texture Magic.
It won't ruin the product or stick to your iron, but it will stiffen the Texture Magic.
The Texture Magic will shrink (up to 30%), producing wonderful texture on your fabric.

If you are "doing your own thing", be sure to start with a piece of fabric and Texture Magic about 30% larger than what you need to end up with.

Annie's Comments. . .
If you are looking for a fun, three-hour class for your shop or guild, check out my Texture Magic Totes pattern.
I taught this class to sixty people at the Superior Threads School of Threadology in February, 2009.
Each person used a different stitch or pattern to create texture on the fabric and every bag turned out beautifully.
The best part? Every person left class with a finished project!
See photos and read more at the Superior Threads blog.
