Pattern: Bowl Me Over
Fabric: The main fabric is Mixed Metals (Q4519-4M-Black-Metallic) by Hoffman California Fabrics
Story: I was keen on making myself a little more luxurious hand bag when found this pattern. I found this project very satisfying and when following the instructions 100 percent the result will be amazing. The technique for fastening the zipper is new to me and works perfectly.

Maker: Erin E.
Pattern: Ultimate Travel Bag
Story: "I’m a visual learner so the video was so great. I watched a lil bit. Did a lil bit. I’m so proud of this bag and gave it to my co worker for rad tech week. She brought it on vacation and got stopped in the airport asked where she bought her bag. That they had never seen Vera Bradley have that print. Such a compliment. She said my co worker made it for me. And they were shocked!"
Runner Up
Maker: JoAnn D.
Pattern: Ultimate Travel Bag
Fabric: Forage by Anna Graham for Robert Kauffman
Story: "I made this travel bag to go to the Sisters, OR quilt show. It was my first time going to the show and what an awesome experience. My photo is taken in front of the Sisters, OR mountains....Just a beautiful place!!
This was a fun bag to sew. Took the advice of other sewers before me and checked off each step along the way which proved to be very very helpful.
The bag was challenging in many ways from working with the mesh inside pockets to sewing the zippers and even shaping the bag. But all in all following the step by step instructions was key."

Maker: Judy D.
Pattern: Take A Stand
Story: "I would have to say this was one of the best written patterns I have used. My friend and I went to a quilt retreat and made these bags. I was challenged with the stretchy fold over elastic on the stretchy mesh. Turned out pretty good. I would make another.
Runner Up
Maker: Sissel H.
Pattern: Take A Stand
Fabric: Pinkerville by Tula Pink for Free Spirit
Story: "There were many clever tips on how to complete the handbag in the package from ByAnnie.com. I learnt a lot from this that I will use in future work and hopefully make great quilts.
The most difficult part was to perfect the binding, but after a lot of work I managed to pull through and succeed. Some of the techniques I learnt the most from using was the new way of attaching the zippers to the handbag. This is something I will use in the future.
Now I am going to make good use of this handbag at work and for traveling to quilting events. It was Incredible to meet Annie in Norway at the Quilt Camp, I appreciate that you made the long Journey to come here and meet us."
