NIGHT & DAY

Since we’re in crunch mode to get new and updated patterns finalized and Add-on Videos filmed before Fall Market at the end of October, we decided to focus on just one pattern: Night and Day!

But, the Night and Day pattern includes instructions for TWO awesome projects: a multi-compartment purse AND a reversible mini tote.

This versatile set of bags makes it easy to carry all the essentials and quickly change your look, night or day!

HOCUS POCUS

We chose fabrics from Michael Miller's Hocus Pocus for the purse, picking Owl Night Long in gray for the exterior, Cat Charms in gray for the lining, and Creepin’ It Real in orange for the coordinating fabric.

It will be perfect for carrying throughout the month of October or anytime we want to make a bewitching impression!

The Purse has one slip and two zippered compartments to separate and organize all your essentials.

Carry it over the shoulder or crossbody using the adjustable, detachable strap. Or detach the strap and carry the Purse as a clutch.

The Purse may be carried on its own or it may be used inside the Tote as an organizer!

The finished purse measures 6½”H x 10½” to 12½”W x 4¾”D.

The Mini Tote is reversible for two fun looks: a quilted side or a non-quilted side with a welt pocket.

Since both sides can show, we chose two great fabrics for the Mini Tote:
a collage print in neutral tones for the exterior. . . and black/gray skulls for the interior.

Note that the body of the Mini Tote is one piece of fabric that wraps around to form the front, bottom, and back of the bag, so be sure to follow the pattern instructions if you are working with directional fabrics like these.

We cut two pieces for both the body exterior and interior, rotating them so that the designs are right side up on each side. Easy-peasy!

The reversible Mini Tote finishes at 9”H x 11” to 16”W x 6”D and features handles and a tie closure. If desired, the Purse’s carrying strap may also be attached to the rings on the Tote.

Night and Day has little quilting, no bindings, and an ingenious construction technique that assures a beautiful finish all around. You will be SO impressed with how easy it is to make!
