Introducing Fidget Toys!

Kids of ALL ages will enjoy these quiet and relaxing ways to focus, relieve stress, and/or exercise fingers.

Using simple sew and flip techniques, you will make fun patchwork fronts that add a pop of color and make them unique.

MARBLE MAZE

Move a marble through the channels of this colorful and soft fabric maze.

Finished size: 5"H x 8¼"W

SEW-A-CONSTRICTOR

Keep your hands occupied and relax as you expand and contract this sensory toy.

There are so many shapes and designs you can create — and watching (and listening to) those magnets connect and disconnect is SO satisfying!

Finished size: 2"H x 16"W

The Soft and Stable included in the package is enough to make three of these projects.

The Fidget Toys pattern is part of our Jump Starters series. These patterns are designed to spark your creativity through fast, fun, and useful projects.

Beginners will enjoy learning new skills, and seasoned sewists will love experiencing success and jump starting their creativity as they make these quick projects.

To get you started, each Jump Starters pattern includes the pattern, three pieces of Soft and Stable, and a full-length Add-on Video.

Inspiration from pattern testers

Thank you to all of our pattern testers, who worked hard to make sure this pattern is ready to go!

Kristen of Stitch Fabric Company chose a variety of Tula Pink scraps for her Sew-A-Constrictor. This project is not only fun to play with, but is a fantastic way to put your scraps to good use!

Randi (Instagram: @randisroost) made her Fidget Toys with Tula Pink’s True Colors line, and says these toys will be great for kids who have sensory needs.

Randi was one of the very first testers for this pattern and her input helped us greatly improve the construction methods for making both projects. We SO appreciate our testers!

Kera made excellent use of some colorful scraps for her Fidget Toys, which are pictured here with our other Jump Starters, Pint-Sized Pals and Tidy Time.

Jennifer (Instagram: @taughtbymomquilts) used Tula Pink’s True Colors for these fun Fidget Toys, and added some special touches by using large buttons for the eyes and Tula Pink ribbon by Renaissance Ribbons for the tongue.

Kim chose some eye-catching fabrics from her scraps to make these cute Fidget Toys.

She shared this advice for those making the Marble Maze: Be mindful of the marble size when creating the stitch lines for the “furrows”. The marble needs to travel/roll through without hindrance.  My scant 1/8” was not scant enough and I had trouble pushing the marble through it with ease.  I unpicked my work, sewed a slightly wider gap and, voila, the marble rolled on is merry way to the finish line!

Nyree used a lovely variety of Tilda fabrics from her stash to make her Fidget Toys. She recommends using a high-contrast, solid color thread for stitching the Marble Maze.

Would someone you love enjoy a Fidget Toy of their own? Grab the Fidget Toys pattern at your favorite local quilt shop, gather some scraps, and have some fun!

To ensure success, we've filmed an Add-on Video that walks you through all the steps to make both projects. And, the pattern comes with a coupon code that makes these Add-on Videos FREE!

Happy stitching!
