Introducing Stitcher's Suitcase and Feathered Friends
Randi Jones

We are so excited to introduce two new patterns that work beautifully together: Stitcher's Suitcase and Feathered Friends!

Stitcher's Suitcase

Protect and carry your precious Singer 221/222 Featherweight (or other small sewing machine) in Stitcher's Suitcase!

Soft and Stable provides excellent, cushioned protection for your machine, while thoughtfully designed pockets provide perfect storage spots for accessories, tools, manuals, and more.

Featured fabric, at right and below, is The Wisdom by Valori Wells for FreeSpirit Fabrics.

The wide zippered opening allows easy access to your machine and supplies, while adjustable handles with a cushioned wrap allow you to carry the bag comfortably by hand or over the shoulder.

An acrylic stabilizer slides into a fabric sleeve in the base to provide a firm foundation and added stability, and a trolley sleeve makes it super-easy to secure Stitcher's Suitcase to your rolling luggage.

Featured fabric, at right and below, is Legendary by Tula Pink for FreeSpirit Fabrics.

We love a multi-use bag here at ByAnnie, so Stitcher’s Suitcase also makes a great travel or retreat bag!

The wide opening makes such a difference for packing and access, and when paired with Feathered Friends, all of your belongings will be organized and ready for the road!

Feathered Friends

Feathered Friends is a versatile, coordinated pattern designed to organize, protect, and enhance any sewing setup — at home or on the go.

This thoughtfully designed pattern includes:

  • Three zippered bags in a variety of sizes and shapes
  • A padded Bed Sleeve that protects the fold-up bed extension — and converts to a Thread Catcher
  • A vinyl-topped pad to safeguard work surfaces

Each piece is designed to work together, creating a cushioned, organized system that fits perfectly inside Stitcher’s Suitcase.

Together, they surround your machine with structured protection and smart storage—ideal for travel, classes, and retreats.

Featured fabric, right, is Slow and Steady by Tula Pink for FreeSpirit Fabrics. Sample by pattern tester, Jan.

Even if you don’t own a Featherweight, these versatile accessories are perfect for organizing sewing tools, notions, and supplies for any small machine or project-on-the-go.

More Features

  • Zippered bags open along three sides for full visibility and easy access
  • Versatile bag sizes help organize cords, pedals, tools, notions, fabric, thread, and more
  • Snap tabs on the Vinyl Pad securely hold the Thread Catcher in place
  • All pieces are made with Soft and Stable for durable structure and stability

The Feathered Friends projects are perfect for organizing supplies and tools for a wide variety of hobbies and activities.

Nyree discovered a wonderful alternative use for Stitcher's Suitcase-- she uses it to store her food processor and its accessories!
