These snaps are easy to install by hand, so there is no need to invest in expensive, specialized equipment!
Since our snaps require less strength to install, they are also ideal for makers who have difficulty using their hands, wrists, or arms.
Each packages comes with FOUR (4) full sets of snaps. This means you get:
4x Fashion metal caps (recommended for the visible/exterior part of project)
4x Plastic studs (for forming connection to socket)
4x Plastic sockets (for forming connection to stud)
4x Low-profile plastic caps (recommended for the non-visible/interior part of project)

Great question!
While no special tools are required for installing our snaps, you will need to create a hole in your project so the snaps have somewhere to go. For that, an awl is ideal!
ByAnnie's Extra-Sharp Awl is specially designed for use when installing ByAnnie's Tool-Free Snaps.
Featuring a tapered shank, the awl makes it easy to gradually increase hole size and achieve consistent hole diameters.
ByAnnie's Extra-Sharp Awl creates precise holes in many materials, including fabric, vinyl, leather, faux leather, interfacing, ByAnnie's Soft and Stable®, and more.
Use the awl in other crafting projects, too. It's great for marking, puncturing, and a wide variety of general uses.
ByAnnie's Extra-Sharp Awl is made with a strong half-tang construction and comfortable beechwood handle. It's a beauty to hold and use! So, be sure to keep one in your tool kit and crafting room.
