Upcoming Events - September 2018
Sewing and quilting don’t have to be hobbies you can only enjoy on your own. There are a wide variety of events, guilds, and classes to participate in and an entire community online for you to share your passion with! It’s incredible to be a part of this community, and we take every opportunity we can to be involved!
Annie loves being able to teach classes at different shops, and our team enjoys participating in shows and festivals. We also think it's so much fun being able to support guilds and shops with the various events they host. Stone House Quilters' Guild
9th Annual Fall Retreat
Capon Springs Report and Farms, WV
September 13-17, 2018
The Stone House Quilters' Guild is dedicated to educating the public about the art of quilting.
They are also a charitable organization that donated quilts to their local Wounded Warrior Retreat, the Gainesville and Manassas Rehabilitation Centers, and larger quilts to the Prince William County Police Department for children in trauma.
As a special treat to their members, they host an annual quilting retreat where they split time working on community service projects as well as their own personal sewing projects, all while enjoying samples and freebies from donors like ByAnnie.com.

The Utah Quilt Guild is the oldest state quilt guild in the United States, boasting membership of over 800 quilters!
Each year they hold an annual quilt show which offers over 70 classes, 4 national teachers, and a vendor's mall.

Loving Stitches Quilting Retreat
September 19-23, 2018
The Loving Stitches Quilt Shop has been in business for 23 years and have developed a great relationship with quilters and makers in their area.
Each year they host an annual quilting retreat. This year they're expecting approximately 60 people and can't wait to explore the theme, "Learning About Color."
During the retreat they're planning on having participants construct small, large and even some surprise projects that will give each person a stronger appreciate and knowledge of color.
Not only will attendees get a lot of great experience and memories to cherish, but they have a chance to win goody bags and giveaways from businesses in the quilting industry, such as ByAnnie.com. Sounds like a lot of fun!
Harvest of Quilts Show

Heritage Quilters Guild is celebrating over 35 years of quilt-making, and invites you to join them at their quilt show.
This guild uses the annual show as an opportunity to share the beautiful creations they've made throughout the year, as well as raise money for their many charitable interests. This group actively makes and donates quilts for the SOS Children's Village, Quilts of Valor, and pillowcases for children's hospitals.

Bay Area Modern Quilt Guild
September 28-30, 2018
All during the year the Bay Area Modern Quilt Guild works on quilts and projects that they donate to local senior centers, children's hospitals, homeless shelters, veterans hospitals, and this year to survivors of the devastating fires in the Bay Area.
This year alone the group has donated over 190 quilts to various charitable organizations and are on track to reach 250 quilts donated by the end of the year!
This guild holds a special annual retreat where guild members can come together to socialize, learn new skills, work on projects and win great prizes from sponsors, such as ByAnnie.com!

Friendship Quilters Annual Retreat

They've also been busy making pillowcases for pediatric cancer patients and continue to make dog and cat beds for local animal agencies.

It’s easy for you to get involved with the quilting community too! Find events in your area by going online, or asking your local quilt shop for suggestions.
