ByAnnie Top Voted

WINNER: Mary Jane A.

ABOUT: Mary Jane sewed an Every Day Every Way bag and a Changing Station for her adorable grandson!

THEIR STORY: “Making this ensemble for my great grandson Neil was my inspiration! His parents wanted some thing that represented their vibe for the love of owls and some thing that both Mom and Dad would enjoy carrying.

The Every Day Every Way has so many options on the backpack feature which was what they really wanted plus all the other strap options so I made it with all of those options! The Changing Station was just too cute not to make as well! It has turned into quite the lifesaver for Mom and Dad.

The handiness of the Changing Station makes life so much easier and they get comments all the time about Neil's “ensemble”! "

WHAT WE LOVED: We loved seeing the many photos that Mary Jane had to share. It was like we were watching the bags come together in person!

WHAT THEY WON: $50 coupon to use on

Storyteller Award

WINNER: Sherri K.

ABOUT: Sherri told us a great story about discovering ByAnnie bags and taking her sewing skills to the next level while make a gift for a friend.

THEIR STORY: "I had never heard of "By Annie" bags and honestly I would never have tried to make one — they look so amazing they have to be too hard for my skills! But my local quilt shop started selling online during the pandemic and they had some of these cute little bags in a kit — all you needed was in there.

A friend of mine loses her phone when she is out running the tractor or walking the dogs and I thought this would be perfect for her! I got the kit and the directions and was instantly overwhelmed— no way I could do that! Then I found the little piece that said, "watch the videos." It was presented in the video in small, bite sized pieces and I just watched one video, did that step, watched another video, did that step. Before I knew it I had actually made something that I didn't believe I could do.

Later when I heard something else presented "By Annie" I remembered that I did it before. I didn't know the Call Me bag was an introduction to ALLL the techniques! I've used the stabilizer for some amazing placemats and have the Clam Up pattern ready to go. Watched all the videos first and I think I'm ready to go. I am so proud of this little bag. I've now made three more of them but they were snapped up by my sisters before I could get a photo!"

WHAT THEY WON: $50 coupon to use on

We are conveniently located in Hanama Place (near the intersection of Henry St. and Kuakini Hwy), with plenty of free covered parking if you're driving or just a short walk from the cruise ship dock if you're here for the day."

Honorable Mention

ABOUT: Cara sewed this special Clam Up to express her feelings about the war in Ukraine.

THEIR STORY: "I wanted to make a bag that would show my frustration with the war in Ukraine. I needed to do something that expressed my feeling and Star Wars (stop wars) seemed like a good play on words. I posted it on my social media with the song give peace a chance by John Lennon.

I also made a sunflower fabric Clam Up to raffle off for the people of Ukraine."

WHAT WE LOVED: We loved that Cara put a lot of thought and intention into her Clam Up.

WHAT THEY WON: $15 coupon to use on

Honorable Mention

WINNER: Linda C.

ABOUT: Linda sewed this cute Clam Up set for her niece.

THEIR STORY: “I have made several patterns by Annie and always love the well written and easy to follow instructions. I have made a few of the Clam Up bags and made this set for my niece who was regularly traveling a great distance to care for her mom (my sister) while she underwent cancer treatments. Annie’s zippers by the yard are great to use and good value for the price. It was fun to mix and match the fat quarter fabrics!"

WHAT WE LOVED: We loved how this photo that Linda snapped of her bags reminded us of spring. Extra bonus points that she's giving these pouches as a gift. Best wishes for your sister's treatment, we hope it is effective with as few side effects as possible.
