ByAnnie Top Voted
WINNER: Ilse V @ilse_sews
PATTERN: A Place for Everything
THEIR STORY: I love a sewing challenge. This was something I never made before. Still not sure what I’ll use her for, but I love the result.
I also made a matching boxy pouch from the quilted remnants. No pattern this time, just measurements and a bit of math.
WHAT WE LOVED: Our team member Cody had this to say, "Her project looks great, but that cat is adorable!"
WHAT THEY WON: $50 coupon to use on ByAnnie.com
Storyteller Award
WINNER: Sabrina S
PATTERN: Courtside
THEIR STORY: My husband and I are both Army veterans. My husband recently retired and doesn't have any hobbies to keep him busy so he decided to give back to the community once again by serving as a volunteer in the American Red Cross Disaster Action Team as well as helping veterans through the organization.
He needs to have a Go bag so when he is called he can grab his bag and go assist families in local house fires, putting in fire alarms, and if he is needed in a shelter. The courtside bag is the one I chose to tackle for him. I had made Clam Up bags, but nothing this big before so it was a challenge.
I wanted to make it unique to him by adding some embroidery designs on the pockets (to match his company guidon for the unit he was a commander) and his name on the luggage sleeve so everyone would know that is his bag. I have also made him a memory bear and pillow with his old BDUs (Battle Dress Uniform) which he loves and a quilt that I designed to go in his office to mimic his guidon flag.
He is so proud to take his bag each time he helps someone and has received some nice comments on his very professional looking bag. LOL. Thank you to all the veterans that have served our country, sacrificed for us and for the future young people to carry on the tradition.
WHAT WE LOVED: Annie had this to say, "I picked Sabrina's Courtside for her telling the story of her husband's amazing bag. She did a great job honoring him and his service. Thanks to all the veterans and service members who serve our country!"

Quilt Shop Highlight
WINNER: Natalia K
PATTERN: Round Trip Duffle
THEIR STORY:
This was my first experience with bag making. I was incredibly nervous to make something other then a quilt but the pattern was incredibly straightforward and I used it as my hospital go-bag when I had my daughter this year

QE Level Up
WINNER: Jitka C @jitkadesign
PATTERN: Bella Accent Sleeves,
In Control
THEIR STORY: I love applique and paper piecing therefore I chose to incorporate those into this "I control" pattern. Usually I gift what I make and for sew days I pack things into Ziploc bags. It was time to do a little personal upgrade.
WHAT WE LOVED: Elissa had this to say, " I love everything about Jitka's "In Control" bag - it is the perfect combination of creative design elements including the flying geese style 1 pattern from my Bella Accent Sleeves Expansion Pack! Jitka's fabric selection to show off the foundation paper piecing and applique on the background fabrics was just right to celebrate the designs and her skills. Down to the thoughtful color of thread to really show off the quilting design in her bag - there was no detail left untouched.
I really appreciate the choice of coordinating fabrics for the inner pockets and lining to bring the outside FPP and applique fabric colors into the interior of the bag. The pop of pink fabric in the binding and base stabilizer sleeve is the cherry on top. Clearly there was intentional planning in this project and it is a fabulous, functional finish!

WINNER: Lori H @Lhutyra
PATTERN: On the Go
THEIR STORY: I made 3 On The Go 2.0 bags for an upcoming trip with my sisters.
WHAT WE LOVED: Our team member Jacque had this to say, "The cats on this bag are adorable. I love these On The Go 2.0 bags. What fun for the sisters."
WHAT THEY WON: $15 coupon to use on ByAnnie.com
Honorable Mention
WINNER: Cindy V @cindyvissering
PATTERN: Bowl Me Over
THEIR STORY: My stepmother always likes black and wite, so I dove into my stash to make her a bueatiful black and white handbag with a touch of red. A very nice size handbag for a walk in the city or going out for drinks ;-).
This is the second Bowl Me Over bag I made and I like to use a variation of fabrics - I used 3 main fabrics on the outside. The pattern is clear written, so after a good read and understandig where goes what, it is easy to alter fabrics.
WHAT WE LOVED: Annie had this to say, "I enjoyed seeing all the different fabrics that Cindy used to make this red/white/black bag for her stepmother. She did a beautiful job of combining them and photographing the finished bag."
WHAT THEY WON: $15 coupon to use on ByAnnie.com
Honorable Mention
WINNER: Hannah B
PATTERN: Other
THEIR STORY: I just became an aunt!! My niece is now 5 months old!! I knew I wanted to make Christmas presents for her with this fabric and I was SO excited that the Soft and Stable went through my Cricut (like buuutter). I used the cricut to cut the S&S letters then quilted them with 5" squares of fabric.
WHAT WE LOVED: Annie had this to say, "I loved seeing the letters that Hannah made for her niece. Using the Cricut to cut the Soft and Stable and fabric and then joining the pieces by quilting is such a fun idea. I enjoyed Hannah showing the whole process and how she "franken-stitched" her Soft and Stable scraps and put them to such good use!"
