We were joined by guests Jennifer and Carolyn Gibbons who were the inspiration behind our popular Bosom Buddy pattern.

We talked about their journey, breast cancer and other hereditary cancers, and ways that we, as quilters and sewists, can help those who are dealing with those diseases.

Annually we host a blog hop, support fundraisers, and sew for cancer. Our goals are to raise awareness, encourage people to get their screenings, come together as a community, and donate to breast cancer research.

The #SewPink Initiative was created by LLC to raise awareness for breast cancer throughout the year. Our efforts culminate in an annual blog hop during October’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month to promote self-care, awareness, early detection and support for those affected by breast cancer.
