WHAT WE LOVED: Out team member Jacque had this to say, " Who doesn't love a bag with turtles on it. I love the fabric and the bag looks great!!"

WHAT THEY WON: $50 coupon to use on ByAnnie.com

Storyteller Award

WINNER: Melea L  @melealindsay

PATTERN: Ultimate Travel Bag

THEIR STORY:  This is the second ByAnnie bag I have made and will be gifting it to a special gal who travels lots for cheerleaders competitions. Her grandma recently passed away so I made this bag 100% from her grandma's quilting fabrics as a keepsake.

I added my own flare with the paper pieced flying geese. The main zipper section took me 14 hours to construct but I love how it turned out and had to share!

WHAT THEY WON: $50 coupon to use on ByAnnie.com

Quilt Shop Highlight

WINNER:  Stacy M

PATTERN: It's A Cinch and Sun Visors

THEIR STORY:  July B.A.G. Ladies! Annie's favorite vacation getaway is a book and a beach, so we made It's A Cinch mesh bags, and some also made Sun Visors. The mesh bags are perfect for sand toys, wet towels, or the large is perfect for laundry.

They were easy and fun to make! Using a bias tape maker made making the cinch straps a breeze, and some had never used one before. We learned the mesh is stretchy, bias tape makers are your friend, and that Meshing Around is a different bag (but equally useful!).

Upcoming beach trips will be easier with the handy bags they made, and faces will be protected from the sun with the visors. Thanks for such great patterns!

PATTERN: Take a Stand

THEIR STORY:  I made this stand up bag for my niece’s ovarian cancer fundraiser auction. We have all been praying so hard for her. Thank you for your amazing patterns. So much fun to make. My twin Angie will be sending the bag she made!

WHAT WE LOVED: Our team member Elisa had this to say, " You can tell that Andie cares a lot about her niece just by seeing the effort she put into this bag. Hoping the auction is a success."

PATTERN: Every Day Every Way

THEIR STORY:  I chose this pattern as I was looking for a great baby bag for a friends upcoming shower. This pattern was highly recommended on the Facebook site so I decided to give it a go. It didn’t disappoint.

WHAT WE LOVED: Just thought it was sweet. It's the embodiment of what handmade gifts are, thoughtful and personal.

Honorable Mention

WINNER: Kasandra R

PATTERN: Leader of the Pack

THEIR STORY:  My 10-year-old daughter watched me make several ByAnnie projects this summer while we were both on break from school. She begged for a backpack, and Leader of the Pack was big enough for what she needs.

We went to our local fabric store and picked out the fabrics together. I sewed the entire project while visiting my family 1000 miles from home. My mom helped us lay out the fabrics and select the arrangement.

I used my grandma's embroidery machine for the first time to monogram the front. My dad helped us seal the ribbons and prepare the photos.

My daughter happily modeled for a picture and cannot wait to start school with a custom backpack in her favorite colors! I learned a lot about fussy cutting. I was surprised at how easy the fold-over elastic and mesh were to work with, though the videos really helped with everything.

Because she was engaged with the process, my daughter is excited to work on her own projects (we're tackling a matching lunchbox next), and I love that my family all contributed to this special backpack.

WHAT WE LOVED: Our team member Casey had this to say, "I love that her whole family got involved in making the bag. What a fun experience, and it looks like it created a new sewist."

WHAT THEY WON: $15 coupon to use on ByAnnie.com

Honorable Mention

WINNER: Tami R

PATTERN: Glo and Go, Round Trip Duffle, Clam Up, and Open Wide

THEIR STORY:  The largest part of this project inspired me to keep going with a happy heart doing what I love doing. Taking my time and carefully following instructions from pattern to pattern taught me patience.

These bags were made for my daughters birthday which she absolutely loved and loads of inspiration for her mom to keep sewing as she turns 72 in August❣️

WHAT WE LOVED: Our team member Caszidy had this to say, " Love how they all match and I am partial to the lovely design on them, this had a lot of thought put into it."

WHAT THEY WON: $15 coupon to use on ByAnnie.com
