We are back in full force for an amazing #SewPINK Initiative in 2024.
As always, our main focus is to raise awareness and encourage every individual to take steps for self-care, early diagnosis, and to support others.
Take a quick read below and don't forget to schedule your cancer screenings regularly. Early detection saves lives.
What is your risk?
Cancer is unique to every individual. Speak to your physician about your family history and ask if you should pursue genetic counseling for a better understanding of your risks. The Dana-Farber Cancer Institute offers a risk assessment quiz to print out and bring to your next appointment.
More on handling your mammograms
For 2024, an estimated 30% of all new cancer cases in U.S. women are expected to be breast cancer. We encourage everyone to seriously consider speaking to their healthcare professionals about regular mammogram appointments.
With early detection, the survival rate for breast cancer can be as high as 99%. This is why it is so important to make your appointment.
The annual Well-Woman Exam is completely covered by all US insurances. So go get screened! Find links below to help you schedule your screening.
